Insurance:
Fully comprehensive insurance is provided by Bunk Campers to
the driver named on the agreement holding a UK or Republic
of Ireland Driving Licence. The standard insurance excess can
be reduced by 50% by taking out the insurance excess reduction
option. Windscreen, Tyres and Mirrors are not covered in the
standard insurance excess. The standard insurance excess charges
are as follows:

Special
Insurance Cover is an additional insurance option which gives
you cover for any damage to the vehicle windscreen, tyres
and mirrors. It is a one off hire charge and not a cost per day. €55 per hire

Collision Damage Waiver
(CDW):
An
optional insurance charge that reduces
the insurance excess. This can be purchased
at time of booking online or on collection
of your vehicle.

CDW
at €25 (EUR) per day will reduce the excess for any
damage caused in a collision to either the vehicle or third
party property by 50%.

The
hirer will however be fully liable for replacement or repair
to windows or tyre damage or damage caused due to
negligence. Applies in respect of each claim, not Rental.
Deposit:
The refundable
deposit on your Bunk Camper campervan hire detailed in section
1 covers both the insurance excess in the event of a collision
(section 5a) and the proper return of the vehicle in same condition
as it was let out to the hirer.

This
amount will be debited from your credit card account immediately
and is fully refundable within seven days of return of the
vehicle on the following conditions:
- No damage to the campervan or any third party
- Campervan returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date and time
- Campervan returned in the same condition as it was let out, the interior
clean including all cooking appliances, waste tank emptied and the fuel
tank full.
- All items are returned at end of hire in clean and full working order
as per the ‘Departure Check list’ in the Rental Agreement.

This
security deposit will be used to fund any loss or damage
what so ever to equipment, fixtures, fittings, windows, tyres
or negligent damage to the vehicle and the hirer agrees to
pay Bunk Campers any additional costs over and above the
security deposit value should damages exceed the security
deposit value.

Bunk
Campers reserves the right to increase the security deposit
for specific events eg: festivals or rallies
A
cleaning fee of €125 (EUR) will be charged against the deposit
if the vehicle is not returned with the interior in a clean condition.
An
additional fee of €100 (EUR) will be charged against the
deposit if the toilet and waste tank are not emptied prior to
the return of the vehicle.
Violation of Traffic
Laws and Regulations:
Driver(s)
are personally liable for all legal penalties
and fees pertaining to any traffic violation
infringements under the current Road
Traffic Legislation applicable in Northern
Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
Bunk
Campers will hold your credit card details for 30 days after
the rental agreement finishes incase any traffic violation infringements
are presented to Bunk Campers for your hire period. The driver(s)
will still be liable for any penalties and fees received after
this period.
Bunk
Campers will notify the driver(s) of any speeding or parking
fines and an administration charge of £25 (GBP) for each
infringement incurred throughout the hire period.
Use of the Vehicle:
During the
rental period, the hirers agree that the vehicle will not be;

Driven
other than in a cautious, prudent and normal manner or used
in a manner which could cause damage

Driven
in a prohibited area

Driven
by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with
a blood alcohol level in excess of that permitted by law

Driven
by persons under the age of 21 years when renting the 2 berth
campervan

Driven
by persons under the age of 25 years when renting the 2 berth
Delux or 4 berth campervan

Driven
by a person who is unauthorised to drive the vehicle as set
out under the heading ‘Driver details’ of the

is the minimum age to rent a Bunk Camper campervan?
A. The minimum age to hire a Roadie 2 person campervan or a Ranger 4 person
campervan is 21 years. If you are a student, you must be 23 years of age and
have held your drving licence for 2 years.The minimum age to hire an Aero person
campervan or a Vista 4 person campervan is 25 years.

What average mileage does a Bunk Camper do?
A. We get asked
about fuel consumption regularly! The good news is that all our vehicles form
a modern fleet with the latest most fuel efficient engines.

Q.
How long does the battery system last in the campervan?
A. Bunk Campers
vehicles have two batteries - one to run the engine and the other to operate
the living equipment such as the fridge and interior lights. This battery will
remain charged for approximately 8 to 10 hours. When you drive the campervan,
you will recharge the battery. If you flatten the battery you can switch on
the engine to start it again. You will need to plug the vehicle into 240V mains
power for the battery to fully recharge.

Can I do a one way rental ?
A. Yes. We have
depot locations in both dublin and Belfast. You can pick up your camper in
Dublin and return it to Belfast or vice versa.

What do Bunk Campers charge for motorway toll fees in Ireland?
A. You are responsible
for paying toll fees as you go. This excludes the Dublin M50 toll fee which
is automatically charged to Bunk Campers and payable by the hirer to Bunk Campers
on return of the campervan.
